Mission

Our mission is to create a nurturing learning environment where children grow in confidence, well-being, and a lifelong love of learning, supported by caring, joyful educators who teach with purpose and creativity.

Our approach integrates the insights of key developmental theorists:

Montessori: Children learn through self-directed exploration within a carefully prepared environment that supports their sensitive periods for growth.
Piaget: Children construct knowledge by actively engaging with materials and experiences, building understanding through hands-on discovery.
Vygotsky: Children develop thinking and language through social interaction, learning alongside and in collaboration with others.

Together, these beliefs guide us in creating learning experiences that honor children as capable, curious learners who grow through exploration, interaction, and purposeful activity.

🌟How We Teach: Teaching Strategies

At our center, we proudly implement Teaching Strategies, a research-based curriculum designed to support the whole child—socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically—across every stage of early development.

👶 Infants, Toddlers, and Twos

Our nurturing educators use this curriculum to build strong, caring relationships with each infant, toddler, and two. It helps guide developmentally appropriate activities tailored to every child’s age and stage, with special attention to infants during their most rapid period of growth. The curriculum promotes:

Meaningful, fun, playful learning experiences
Flexibility to follow each child’s evolving interests and abilities
A supportive, engaging, and joyful environment for every infant, toddler, and two-year-old

🎨 Preschool (Ages 3–5)

For our preschoolers, the curriculum offers a balanced mix of teacher-led and child-centered activities that prepare children for kindergarten and life success. We focus on:

Academic and social-emotional skill development
Small group learning based on individual needs
Personalized attention to monitor and support each child’s progress

🤝 Home-to-Care Connection

We believe in strong partnerships with families and maintain ongoing communication through:

Infant–Toddler: Daily written reports
Preschool: Weekly Friday progress reports
Quarterly Progress Checkpoints: Two formal assessments per year
Quarterly Parent Conferences: Dedicated time to discuss growth and goals
Individualized Child Goal Planning

🌟How We Track Growth: Teaching Strategies GOLD

We use Teaching Strategies GOLD to gently and thoughtfully assess development from infancy through preschool. This helps us understand how each infant, toddler, two, and preschooler is growing, learning, and thriving—so we can support them every step of the way.

👶 Infants, Toddlers, and Twos

For our youngest learners, we focus on:

Observing naturally during play, care routines, and interactions
Documenting milestones like first steps, new words, and social skills
Celebrating progress in ways that feel personal and joyful
Planning activities that match each infant’s, toddler’s, and two’s unique pace and interests

This helps us create a nurturing environment where every infant, toddler, and two feels seen, supported, and loved.

🎨 Preschoolers (Ages 3–5)

When infants, toddlers, and twos are ready to transition into our preschool classroom, we make sure the move is smooth and supportive—guided by their developmental readiness and comfort.

In preschool, we continue to observe and support learning through:

Tracking key skills in areas like language, math, social-emotional growth, and physical development
Using small groups and one-on-one time to understand each preschooler’s strengths and needs
Sharing updates with families through progress reports and conferences
Setting goals together to help each preschooler get ready for kindergarten

We believe learning is a journey—and we’re honored to walk alongside every infant, toddler, two, preschooler, and family along the way.

Parent Conference

🌟At our center, we hold two parent-teacher conferences each year using the Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment system. These meetings are a special time for us to connect with you and support your child’s development.

During each conference, we’ll:

Celebrate your child’s growth and milestones
Share what we’ve observed and learned about your child in the classroom
Work together to set child individualized goals using the Family Conference Form.
